The first interview that The Right Perspective: an American shortwave / internet radio program did with Theuns Cloete was on the 150th anniversary of the Vierkleur. The following are informative videos of the entire interview as conducted by The Right Perspective that they did with Theuns Cloete of Boervolk Radio on Jan 6 2007 on the 150th anniversary of the Transvaal Vierkleur flag: one of the most recognizable symbols of the Boerevolk. The Orange Free State Vierkleur flag would also become 150 on Feb 23 2007. The interview was an hour long with no breaks & is posted here in 9 parts.
The history of the Boers is often told from a Western / British or Afrikaner point of view & thus often from a skewed perspective. This interview is refreshing & important as the Boers' history is explained & told from a Boer perspective.
The facts concerning the Boers are often obscured as the Boers have been overshadowed for the past 100 years most notably by the Afrikaner Nationalists: the Cape based political heirs to the artificial macro state of South Africa created by the British & imposed onto the region.
The Boers trekked from the Cape Afrikaners & the western Cape beginning in the late 1600s & throughout the 1700 when they were nomadic migrating farmers known as the Trekboers occupying the northern & eastern Cape frontier where some later settled down & were known as Grensboere or Border Farmers. A large number of their descendents became known as the Voortrekkers who left the eastern Cape en mass -mainly due to British Colonialism- to trek into the largely uninhabited (due to the Difaqane) interior were they would establish numerous Boer Republics of which the Transvaal Republic (also known as the South African Republic which was composed of the former Potchefstroom Republic / Lydenburg Republic / Rustenburg Republic / Utrecht Republic & the Zoutpansberg Republic) & the Orange Free State (the northern part of which was the former Winburg Republic) were recognized by other governments around the world.
The Sand River Convention signed on Jan 17 1852 between the British & the Transvaal Boers recognized the independence of the Boers north of the Vaal River. This lead to the independence of Boer Republics north of the Vaal River which would coalesce into the South African Republic on Jan 6 1857.
The Orange River Convention signed on Feb 17 1854 between the British & the Transorangia Boers recognized the independence of the Boers north of the Orange River up to the Vaal River. This lead to the independence of the Orange Free State on Feb 23 1854.
The Boer Republics were conquered on May 31 1902 by the British at the conclusion of the the second Anglo-Boer War after 27 000 Boer civilians died in the British run concentration camps. This represented the death of close to 50 % of the total Boer child population of the republics & is one of the main reasons how they were able to be overshadowed for the next 100 years by other forces ascending to power in the region.
Vierkleur News
South Africa
Siener Van Rensburg Yes, he did say so. Most of his predictions came true. He also saw the Chernobil nuclear disaster. Yes, his predictions are believed by a number of people that i know. He predicted that the Vierkleur (old transvaal republic flag) would once again fly over South Africa. He also predicted that Germany would arm the Boere. The Luderitz- Prieska railway line would be used to transport the weapons. This would only happen once the Blue letters (ultimatums) would be delivered by the Germans to the South African parliament. Apparently the then Parliament would be so afraid that they and their supporters would flee in a hurry. The Boere would then chase the blacks across Natal towards Durban. From the ships in the harbour, a last attempt at shooting at the Boere would then be made, without success. He foresaw the building of SASOL in Sasolburg long before the technology of making fuel from coal was developed. He called it the petrol factory. The Vaal triangle features prominently in his visions, as that is where the initial fighting would break out . He also saw the electricity blackouts in Johannesburg and country wide. There is supposed to be a massive strike before the fighting begins. The strike would be so bad that cars would be parked along the roads with their doors open.(No petrol) In Johannesburg people would only have cold mealie porridge to eat. Country wide riots will break out as soon as an important leader is buried. A glass coffin would be placed at Church square in Pretoria for a period of 7 days mourning. ( obviously with the important leader in it) American troops will also try and intervene. From Buluwayo in Zim English troops will move to Northwest in order to subdue the Boere. They will be defeated. Thereafter the war will start and the Vierkleur flown. (the Vierkleur would be dipped in blood) The Boere leader will be chosen on a koppie close to the current Lichtenburg. This will happen without a call to arms ( peacefully) at a gathering. |

“Four-colour” flag (Vierkleur) The Boer Republic of the Transvaal was founded in 1852 and gained independence in 1856. It lost his freedom in 1877 and regained in 1881, with the victory of the Boers in the First War of Liberation. |

All eyes on Terre'Blanche's funeralDozens of khaki-clad AWB supporters have gathered outside the Afrikaans Protestant Church in Ventersdorp on Friday morning ahead of the funeral of their murdered leader Eugene Terre'Blanche. The funeral would start at noon but by 8am the road outside the church was packed with police cars and television crews from around the world. Police spokeswoman Captain Adele Myburgh said thousands were expected to attend the funeral in the North West town. "We are expecting a very large crowd of people and we are ready for any kind of incident," she said. Myburgh said the police were investigating several threats that had been made. "We have patrolling all over the town. We have officers on foot and in police vehicles. The fire brigade and ambulances are on standby." Several bakkies were seen driving through Ventersdorp with the vierkleur flag hoisted outside their vehicles. The Congress of SA Trade Unions was due to hold an "urgent mass meeting" in the township outside Ventersdorp to coincide with the funeral. AWB guards were posted at the gates of the farm where Terre'Blanche was to be buried later on Friday. The small community of Ventersdorp is divided after the murder of Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging leader Eugene Terre'Blanche. Whilst many say he was a changed man after his time in prison, others will never forget the pain he caused during his attempt to halt the implementation of democracy in South Africa.
The AWB planned to hold a press conference at 9am. An AWB member outside the church where the funeral would be held promised "action" after the death of his leader. "I'm here to bury my leader," said the man who refused to be named. "Things will follow in the coming days, not during the funeral but afterwards." When the man was asked to repeat his comments in English, he replied: "Ek praat nie die taal van die vyand nie ." Another member, Jan de Wet, said he wanted to show the ANC that the AWB was a force, and not just ten or 20 members. Both men were clad in khaki and had a swastika-like emblem and the vierkleur stitched on their armbands. - Sapa |
